David Parker says we can't afford to maintain trade of goods, massively weighted in the European Union's favour

Our Trade and Export Growth Minister says we currently have a two-to-one trade surplus in goods with the EU - an imbalance that needs to be addressed.
It comes as Parker accuses the EU of agricultural protectionism over a leaked free trade offer - that would only allow access for about three grams of New Zealand cheese per EU citizen.
He spoke last night with European Trade Commissioner Phil Hogan - to express his dissatisfaction at the offer.
