NZ Rugby's Mark Robinson criticising unwillingness for change from English and French club bosses

New Zealand Rugby chief executive Mark Robinson is criticising the unwillingness for change from English and French club bosses around a global season

An international forum ended in stalemate overnight, with European club bosses unwilling to budge on shifting the July test window to October and starting their seasons in December or March.

Robinson says the clubs' stance is lamentable given the pandemic had created a "once in 100 year opportunity".

He had hoped they might have come to the table with a little more compromise.

Robinson says the best hope to get movement from club owners would now be through direct negotiations with the respective English and French national unions.
