The 75-year-old wants the agency to fund a vehicle with a toilet, so he can go hunting and fishing and see family and friends when he wants to.
In documents seen by the Herald on Sunday, ACC has offered him a suitable bucket...with a lid.
ACC says an assessor has discussed other options with the man including incontinence pads, medication, and a portable commode.
A spokesman says a vehicle of this type isn't the normal way to manage the man's toileting problem.
