A man who smuggled 16 kilos of Class A drugs into New Zealand has been jailed for nine years

The drug bust at the border last year was one of the largest ever, when Customs seized nearly half a tonne of methamphetamine, hidden inside electric motors.
Harpreet Lidder was arrested with three others.
He pled guilty to four charges of importing methamphetamine and MDMA, and possessing drugs for supply.
The 24-year old man claims he was duped into the offending and had no 'had no idea of the dangers of meth'.
The total drug haul had a street value of over 200-million.
