The Alcohol Beverages Council is welcoming changes to warnings on labels

The Government yesterday decided that pregnancy warning labels should be made mandatory on alcohol products.
Alcohol companies will have three years to make the transition.
Executive Director Bridgette McDonald says the alcohol industry strongly supports the message that pregnant women shouldn't drink.
She says the majority of products sold in New Zealand are already voluntarily labelled, but they support the move to a consistent labelling standard.
