    Police are investigating, after the death of a child following a kayaking accident in the Firth of Thames


    A father and his two children were rescued, after their kayak capsized off the coast of Miranda about 3.30 yesterday afternoon.

    The two children were flown to Auckland's Starship Hospital about 5pm.

    One of them died in hospital overnight.

    Police say they're continuing their enquiries into the circumstances.
