Even if staff survive looming redundancies at The Warehouse, their hours may be slashed

The company's told staff this morning up to 750 people may lose their jobs under a proposal to overhaul store opening hours and rostering.
The Warehouse puts the change down to the continued growth in online shopping.
First Union general secretary Dennis Maga says some who keep their jobs will still be worse off.
He says it's a combination of disestablishing positions and reducing hours, and the union's working through it with the company.
The union says a separate proposal's also out to close the Dunedin Central, Johnsonville, Whangaparaoa and Te Awamutu stores which could see more than 130 further job losses.
