All Whites coach Danny Hay accepts the change of plan for 2022 football World Cup qualification

All Whites coach Danny Hay accepts the change of plan for 2022 football World Cup qualification

11 nations will now be split into two groups for games in March and June 2021 in central locations.

The top two teams would move to home and away semis, and the same for the final.

The winner will advance to the intercontinental play-off in June 2022.

Hay says NZF has stayed in regular contact with the Oceania Football Confederation, so was aware of the new direction.
