The principal of one of Auckland's biggest secondary schools is pushing for year 12 and 13 students to return to school during the region's lockdown

Only the children of essential workers can attend school under Level 3.
But Auckland Grammar headmaster Tim O'Connor says this puts senior students at a massive disadvantage to their peers in other parts of the country.
He says students sitting NCEA and Cambridge exams will lose two weeks of study.
He says it makes no sense to keep senior students at home.
He says appropriate health and safety measures can be put in place, to get students back in the classroom.
