As of four pm yesterday, Police had processed nearly 87-thousand vehicles through the 13 different checkpoints.
Nearly four-thousand-eight-hundred were turned around.
Assistant Commissioner Richard Chambers says Police turned around a significantly higher number of vehicles on Monday and Tuesday than in previous days, as they took a firm approach.
He says they're now seeing fewer queues at the main checkpoints and people much more ready with documentation.
However, Chambers says there may still be a wait at peak times.
