Three-year-old old Amberlie Pennington-Foley died on Thursday last week after injuring herself at Harcourt Park.
A Givealittle page has been set-up to support her parents and baby brother.
It says Amberlie's mum and dad moved to New Zealand from the UK nine years ago.
Family members desperately trying to get here to be with them are finding it difficult - and expensive - due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The money raised will be used to cover travel, quarantine and accommodation costs as well as holding a celebration of Amberlie's life.
