Suggestions paracetamol should become a pharmacy only medication

Health officials will discuss limiting the number of paracetamol tablets in a packet, after Coroner David Robinson ruled 20-year-old Dunedin student Alannah Spankie did not intend to take her own life, after accidentally overdosing in 2017.
General Practitioners College medical director Dr Bryan Betty says if you overdose on paracetamol and you don't get proper treatment within 24 hours - it's potentially lethal.
He says it's commonly used, and we don't perceive it as being a dangerous drug.
He says if sold at a pharmacy, there could be reinforcement about paracetamol's potential danger.
