The Automobile Association's pressing the Government to protect Kiwi roads with Covid-19 money

Transport Agency figures show 80 percent of roughness and rutting levels have worsened over the past 10 years.
AA motoring affairs general manager Mike Noon says people pay a lot to be on the road - so they should be well maintained.
He says it's one of the fastest ways to stimulate the economy - because it's nation-wide and good value for money.
Mike Noon says all the roads need work - not just the highways and motorways.
