The Government's dropped distancing rules on all public transport - allowing airlines to return to selling middle seats.
It means Air New Zealand can offer more cheap tickets, and JetStar can resume flights later this week.
Air New Zealand says more than 110-thousand seats were snapped up yesterday.
That compares to just 31-thousand on a typical day before Covid 19.
