Recreational cannabis use wouldn't become legal straight away - even with a 'yes' vote at next month's referendum

If more than 50 percent of people back the change - it's then up to the Government of the day to bring a Bill to Parliament.
The Cannabis Legislation and Control Bill outlines the proposed regulatory framework for a legal market.
If introduced to the House - it would go through all the usual stages of law-making, including time at select committee to give people the chance to share their views.
Should a majority vote no in the referendum - recreational cannabis use will remain illegal.
