Banks Avenue School says the ministry agreed to let them take over Shirley Boys High School's sports hall and hockey turf - when it moved to its new QEII campus in May last year.
But Board Chair Kirk McKay says they refused to hand over the keys because they were still demolishing other buildings nearby - and they've since been badly vandalised.
He says they were of the understanding the Ministry would pay to repair them - but it's changed its tune.
McKay says it's totally unacceptable to treat the community like that.
