Several people were taken to hospital after a series of fights and assaults -- and police say it's lucky no one was seriously injured.
Police say anyone heading to a bar or nightclub should have a plan to get home safely, like a sober driver or money for a taxi.
They also should know when to call it a night, and shouldn't hang around in the city after leaving the bar or nightclub.
Police say people should leave their alcohol at home, as the liquor ban across central Hamilton includes a ban on consuming alcohol inside private vehicles.
