6 October 2020
Police were alerted by the wrong recipient of the mailed letter, which continued identifying details, and included a second letter meant for someone else.
National Road Policing Manager, Acting Superintendent Gini Welch says it was human error - and they take such mistakes extremely seriously.
Police are investigating a second reported incident - but nothing has been confirmed.
It has been reported to the Privacy Commissioner.
