A contracting company has been fined 275 thousand dollars after an unlicensed driver rolled a heavy roller down a bank near Queenstown in 2018

Wilson Contractors must also pay teh victim 50 thousand dollars - and more than 18 thousand dollars for other losses - in a reserved court decision.
WorkSafe says the victim suffered lower leg fractures, a punctured lung and four broken ribs, as well as head and foot wounds.
Spokesman Simon Humphries says it was the second time the company let unlicensed operators use the roller.
