    A man's been arrested for allegedly shooting at eight vehicles in rural Hamilton


    The 32-year-old's been charged with eight counts each of reckless discharge of a firearm and of intentional damage.

    Hamilton Area Commander Inspector Andrea McBeth says the most recent incident happened on July 17.

    She says multiple moving vehicles were shot at in the Raynes Road, Rukuhia area, south of Hamilton city.

    Similar incidents happened in the same area on June 6 and 19.

    McBeth says no one was injured.

    The man is due to appear in court on October 16.
