The Ken Rei logging ship was due in port on Sunday to load logs but has been anchored off the coast since Sunday afternoon.
Dr Ashley Bloomfield says the crew are getting daily health checks via radio and none have been showing symptoms.
He says options were being looked at to test the crew.
