    An investigation into the cause of yesterday's fatal crash near Tarawera, is continuing


    Three vans carrying mostly Samoan seasonal workers to Taupo for a holiday, were travelling in convoy on State Highway 5.

    A wine tanker and one of the vans collided yesterday morning, outside the Tarawera Cafe.

    One person in the van died, and 10 others were injured.

    Police are liaising with the Samoan High Commission to notify the families of those involved in the tragic crash.
