Gaps in the knowledge of some pregnant women, around potentially dangerous foods

Research in today's New Zealand Medical Journal suggests three quarters of the 200 surveyed, incorrectly identified a potentially dangerous food as safe.
Nutritionist Claire Turnbull says a pregnant woman's immune system is lower, so it comes down to food quality control.
She says when buying salads you don't know whose hands have been on it, and if it's been prepared and stored in a safe way.
Pregnant women are told to avoid pre-prepared salads, including rice or pasta salad, coleslaw and green salads.
