The Breakers will be without new signing Dan Trist for a fortnight after he breached Covid-19 protocols

The Breakers will be without new signing Dan Trist for a fortnight after he breached Covid-19 protocols

Half an hour before tip-off in their season opening 94-91 loss to the 36ers in Adelaide, it was announced Dan Trist would be in isolation for 14 days.

A family member of Trist's had been given permission to visit the team, without the Breakers seeking the consent of the NBL.

The family member had been in Victoria and therefore Trist would not have been allowed to enter Perth for the Breakers game next week.

Trist was quickly isolated from the rest of the team to ensure they would be eligible to enter.

Breakers coach Dan Shamir says Trist was missed in the opening defeat.
