Blundell last played a T20 international in February 2018 but hopes a recall remains an option.
The Firebirds have an eight-point, two-win buffer atop the men's ladder with two rounds to play - their women's counterparts, the Blaze, also lead the table despite yesterday's loss to the Magicians.
