    Peter Burling and Blair Tuke have taken some time away from the America's Cup to focus on a different piece of silverware


    The New Zealand Olympic Committee has awarded the pair the Lonsdale Cup for 2020 for the most outstanding contribution to the organisation's cause.

    The pair's performance saw them take out a sixth world title off the coast of Melbourne.

    Burling has acknowledged they've joined a scroll of the country's sporting excellence.
