    Peter Andre is enjoying ageing

The ‘Mysterious Girl’ hitmaker turns 48 on 27 February but he’s not upset about his birthday, though he admitted he struggled when he reached the milestone age of 40

Writing in his New! magazine column, he said: “It’s my birthday this week and I’ll be turning 48. I actually feel great for my age.

“I found turning 40 really difficult but now I love ageing and I’m all for it. Life just gets better and better and I’m very content.”

Peter’s sister recently got married in Australia and though the ‘Flava’ singer – who has children Junior, 15, and Princess, 13, with ex-wife Katie Price and Amelia, seven, and Theo, four, with spouse Emily – was pleased he could watch the nuptials online, it was a “bittersweet” day because he wanted to be there in person.

He said: “It was so sad missing my sister Debbie’s wedding in Australia, but I’m glad we were able to be part of it virtually ... It was such a bittersweet situation not to be there physically, but I was grateful to be a part of the day.

“The ceremony was at 4am UK time so Emily and I watched it from bed and J and P from their rooms. I told them they didn’t need to get up but I love how they chose to.”

To be part of the day, Peter and his sibling Chris, along with a friend, recorded a special song for Debbie.

He explained: “My and my brother Chris, along with my dear friend Wendi, recorded a cover of Lionel Richie and Diana Ross’ ‘Endless Love’ for her to walk down the aisle to. My sister’s request was that because we couldn’t attend, she’d like us to sing her favourite song.”

And Peter joked the track has gone down so well since fans got to hear it online, it might spark a new business venture.

He said: “We’ve had such an overwhelming response to the song, so thank you.

“Hey, you never know, I might create a ‘Choose your song’ for special events!

“But seriously, I’m copyrighting, ‘Choose your song… virtual duets’ in this column.”
