    Over-confidence with no cover

    Over-confidence with no cover

Figures from AA Insurance shows the worst cases of uninsured drivers added up to $6.1 million in collective damages.

One driver is paying back a hundred dollars per week for the next eight years.

The survey showed 70 percent of 18 to 29 year olds agreed that car insurance is important, versus 86 percent of people over 55.

Customer relations manager Amelia Macandrew says getting insurance sometimes takes a change in perspective.

She says many people think they're good drivers so they are confident, but you never know how other drivers behave.
