Police are scouring CCTV footage of a hit and run incident in Auckland, which has left a pedestrian with serious injuries

The man was hit on Sandringham Road -- between Skeates Ave and Farrelly Ave near the Wesley Community Centre -- about four yesterday morning.

The pedestrian remains in a serious but stable condition in Auckland City Hospital.

Police say they're now looking at CCTV footage of the wider area, while they continue to search for the driver involved.

They're asking anyone with any information to come forward.
