Alan and Joan Sleight won a landmark High Court case in October, after years of battling faulty home repairs made after the Christchurch quakes.
The couple's son-in-law, Nigel Maxey - says IAG's dragging out the process by appealing the judgement - it must pay INTEREST on the costs
He says it's taking its toll on the couple who are in their eighties.
The other insurer QBE - has settled its portion of costs.
The two insurers have spent 2.5 million dollars on defending their case against the Sleights .
