Anyone who may have Covid-19 symptoms in Wellington is being urged to get tested

Anyone who may have Covid-19 symptoms in Wellington is being urged to get tested

It comes after routine testing of the city's wastewater returned two weak positive results.

It was first picked up on Friday, before a second sample on Saturday also returned the same result.

The Ministry of Health says it's most likely down to recently recovered cases still shedding the virus.

Three recovered cases who live in Wellington, have left an Auckland MIQ in recent weeks

As a precaution, health officials are encouraging anyone with symptoms to get tested as soon as possible.
