Detective Superintendent Greg Williams says officers also seized six revolvers, a glock pistol and ammunition.
They also found half a kilo of methamphetamine and yet to be identified tablets.
A 27-year-old man's been charged with unlawfully possessing the firearms.
The find's linked to Operation Trojan Shield raids earlier this week - so far in New Zealand, 36 people have been charged with a wide range of serious drug, firearms and money laundering offences.
More than five-million-dollars in assets and cash has been seized.
