Advice for parents wondering whether to take their sniffly child to a hospital emergency department

Hospitals around the country are being inundated with kids with flu-like illnesses.
Some are in intensive care.
Plunket chief nurse, Dr Jane O'Malley, says RSV can be much worse for kids under two.
She says parents should seek help if their children are wheezing, breathing faster, having trouble catching their breath, or not feeding or peeing.
