Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Rocco Berry have both failed to recover in time for this weekend's NRL match against South Sydney

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

The pair have suffered concussion and a hamstring injuries respectively and haven't been named to play against the Rabbitohs.

The exclusion comes along with Tohu Harris and Wade Egan's long terms injury news in the past 48 hours.

It means Addin Fonua-Blake will captain the side, while Adam Pompey, Kodi Nikorima, Jack Murchie and Jazz Tevaga will all start.

Kane Evans, who is under fire for writing an obscenity on his wrist at the weekend, misses out on the 17.

The Oly Whites will be without Michael Boxall for at least the opening two games of their Olympic campaign.

The defender is one of the three over-age players selected in the squad, but is battling a thigh injury that needs to be signed off by his club Minnesota United before he can play.

Coach Danny Hay says they are all in on Boxall, and won't replace him if he's ruled out for the entire tournament.

The Oly Whites begin their campaign against South Korea on Thursday.

One and done for the Central Pulse's Gail Parata.

The coach and the ANZ netball franchise have mutually agreed to not renew her contract for the 2022 season.

Parata will seek an opportunity to build a programme from the ground up.

The two-time defending champions have just four wins from 14 games this season.

Parata's last game in charge will be against the Southern Steel on Saturday.

Tennis player Michael Venus is the latest New Zealand athlete to arrive in Tokyo for the Games.

Fresh from winning an ATP title in Hamburg at the weekend the doubles star has made it into the village and will be officially welcomed with partner Marcus Daniell later today.

The pair are considered an outside medal chance.
