    As you've just heard the men's eight have..


    Earlier Emma Twigg produced the row of her life at Tokyo's Sea Forest Waterway - to win Olympic gold in the single sculls.

    New Zealand has never won a Games medal in the class before.

    Twigg's victory completes a single sculls journey which started at elite level in 2007 and ended with sixth at Beijing, and fourth at London and Rio.

    The women's eight have created another pioneering moment, taking silver.



    The New Zealand team are underway in equestrian's three-day event with Jonelle Price currently eighth in the dressage.

    Jesse Campbell rides this evening with Tim Price to compete tomorrow.



    Rebecca Petch is in semi-final action in the women's BMX competition.

    Ryan Fox starts his second round in the men's golf, seven shots off the pace.



    The Black Ferns Sevens have their final pool game against the Russian Olympic Committee at 2-30.



    Maddie Davidson is in women's trampoline qualifying, while boxer David Nyika has his heavyweight quarter-final.

    There is more sailing this afternoon, the men's tennis doubles pair chase bronze and it's the first day of track and field with high jumper Hamish Kerr currently in qualifying.

    Shot putter Dame Valerie Adams competes tonight.
