The Rio silver medalist has carded the best round of the day, a five under 66 to move into a four way tie for third on 10 under par.
Ko is five shots off the pace being set by American Nelly Korda.
She's desperate to make the podium on Sky Sport.
Wet weather is threatening the final round with the tee times brought forward to start at 6-30am local time.
