The 15 and 16 year old boys died when the car they were in smashed into a power pole in Washdyke on Saturday night.
The seriously injured driver is in hospital.
Mountainview High School says past and present students were involved in the crash.
Principal Kenny Diamond says staff and students are struggling with the terrible loss.
He says their priority is caring for family and friends, and they're being supported by the Education Ministry and local agencies.
