There are calls to address the issues of alcohol during last year's lockdown

The study published in today's New Zealand Medical Journal, shows the number of admissions for major trauma at Christchurch Hospital dropped by 42-percent during that period.
But one-third of admissions, were linked with drinking too much alcohol.
Alcohol Healthwatch executive director Dr Nicki Jackson says excessive drinking is driven by low alcohol prices, its high availability and mass-marketing.
She says there are no strong policies to address these.
