The 60-year-old landmarks are coming down to pave the way for the Dunedin City Hospital.
The Ministry of Health's New Dunedin Hospital programme director Mike Barns says the process will take place over three weekends - depending on the weather.
He says the safest place to watch the demolition is from the Dunedin Railway Station.
The silos were built between the late 1950s and early 1960s.
