Dairy Holdings and Coryston Limited have been fined more than 355-thousand dollars in the Timaru District Court.
Employee 41-year-old Stacey Rodgers died from injuries in September 2019, when the quad bike she was driving, rolled-over.
A WorkSafe investigation found its brakes, steering, suspension and front bumper needed servicing or repair.
Area Investigation Manager Steve Kelly says the companies should've set up a safe system for quads and ensured the bike was properly maintained.
