It comes after a community case of Covid-19 was discovered in Auckland yesterday - sending the nation into lockdown at midnight.
Nurses Organisation Industrial Services Manager Glenda Alexander says people's health and wellbeing is their number one priority.
She says their members are resolute and will continue to look at further strike action but won't put people in danger to make a point.
District Health Board spokesperson Dale Oliff says they're pleased, as hospitals are busy at this time of year and lockdown will add pressure.
Bargaining teams are set to discuss next steps today.
