Customs has been judged justified ... in sacking a border worker who refused to get vaccinated
7 September 2021
The woman started working for Customs in October 2020 as a border protection officer at a maritime port facility.
She was in the role when the Government introduced rules requiring frontline border workers to be vaccinated against covid-19.

It ruled the woman should have anticipated the issue of a vaccination would come up ... when accepting the position of a front-line border protection officer.
