    A major Auckland police custody unit's been forced shut ... after a woman who spent time there last week has tested positive for Covid


    As a result, all people arrested in the Waitemata District - which covers Waitakere and the North Shore - are being processed at Auckland City.

    At least 10 police staff are isolating - and others have been reprimanded for not wearing the right protective gear.

    Several sources have confirmed the woman was arrested on Thursday, spent time at the North Shore Policing Centre, then was driven to the Henderson custody unit.
