The tests were carried out on Tuesday, following a positive sample that was detected on September 23.
It prompted health officials to call on locals to get tested if they have symptoms.
Despite the call, only 400 people in the area went and had a test, according to yesterday's 1pm briefing.
Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield is urging more people to come forward, to ensure no stone is left unturned.
The Bay of Plenty DHB is asking people in the greater Tauranga area to get a test if they are symptomatic, or have recently been at a location of interest.
