Investigations into Oranga Tamariki's Christchurch care home continue

Investigations into Oranga Tamariki's Christchurch care home continue

Te Oranga was shut down in August, after footage was released of a teen being tackled, put in a headlock, and thrown to the ground.

Up to 33 children ranging up to the age of 14 were moved to other locations - staff were also stood down.

Deputy Chief Executive of Care Services Trish Langridge says five children still remain at Te Oranga.

She says any staff not involved in the specific incidents have completed additional training prior to re-opening.
