Ashley Bloomfield says it's crucial nobody gets left behind when it comes to getting vaccinated

Ashley Bloomfield says it's crucial nobody gets left behind when it comes to getting vaccinated

The lowest rates of vaccination among 12 to 34-year-olds with one dose are in Northland with 44-per cent, and Tairawhiti with 48-per cent.

The Director-General of Health says the low-uptake leaves our communities vulnerable.

He says the virus is like a heat-seeking missile that can find and infect vulnerable communities.

Bloomfield says a 90 per cent vaccination rate of the eligible population is critical across all groups and regions.
