    Hawke's Bay police have seized more than 20 firearms, drugs and ammunition


    Officers conducted a pre-planned search warrant at a Tannery Road address in Napier address early this morning.

    Hawke's Bay Gang Focus Unit's Sergeant Kris Payne says the Armed Offenders Squad was deployed as a precaution and the road closed.

    Hundreds of rounds of ammunition and methamphetamine, cannabis and MDMA were seized.

    A 28-year-old man will appear in Napier District Court next Thursday facing drugs charges, unlawful possession of ammunition and obstruction.
