    Christchurch might be free of Covid - but that's not stopping the financial fall out


    The city's event calendar is continuing to take a hammering.

    The Addington and Riccarton Cup Day races aren't letting in the general public because of Covid restrictions.

    An earlier survey by the Christchurch Central Business Association found 98 per cent of its businesses need these events to go ahead.

    Association chairwoman Annabel Turley says it's just another blow.

    She says while there's been no Covid-19 in the South Island for nearly a year - its affecting businesses negatively.
