Two Guinness world records were broken overnight

Two Guinness world records were broken overnight

Christchurch's Blair Williamson completed more than 10,000 burpees between 8am yesterday and 8 this morning.

The personal trainer beat the current 12-hour and 24-hour records and managed to raise over $30,000 for Gumboot Friday.

Mr Blair says he started by doing 13 per minute, with five minute breaks every hour.

He says after about nine hours his plan went out the window, with ongoing aches and cramps, and from there it was all about staying above the 12-hour pace.
