Urgent action is needed to stop road fatalities in Horowhenua's roads

Four people died after a truck and a van collided about 3pm yesterday afternoon, and on e person is in hospital.
The crash happened on State Highway 1 south of Levin.
Kapiti Coast Mayor K Gurunathan says he's highlighted issues on the road for years.
He says several intersections down there are death traps so something must be done.
Horowhenua District Mayor Bernie Wanden says it's one of the most dangerous pieces of road in the country.
Wanden says they've seen three fatal accidents this year alone.
